NONPROFIT

Every nonprofit has a mission. But it’s the people behind the mission who move hearts — and move action. We specialize in telling authentic, human-centered stories that inspire, educate, and rally communities around a cause. Whether it’s a sweeping campaign or an intimate portrait of change, we help organizations share their impact in ways that resonate and endure.

NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT: BLOODWORKS NORTHWEST

Bloodworks Northwest saves lives — through blood donations, cutting-edge research, and creative partnerships that build healthier communities across the Pacific Northwest. At Waka Seattle, we’re proud to help tell their story — capturing the spirit, connection, and heart behind everything they do.

Below, you’ll find a few of our favorite collaborations — starting with their “Music’s In Our Blood” campaign, which celebrates how music, like blood, connects and sustains us all.

Music’s In Our Blood: Celebrating life, one beat at a time.

SOFI TUKKER CONCERT

To celebrate exceeding their goal of 20,000 new or re-engaged donors, Bloodworks Northwest and partners hosted a private concert with internationally acclaimed duo Sofi Tukker. We were there to capture the energy, gratitude, and celebration — a vivid reminder of how collective action saves lives.

Young Bloods: Inspiring the next generation to give blood.

As part of Bloodworks Northwest’s Savor Life. Save A Life. campaign — partnering with local restaurants to drive both donations and community support — the Young Bloods series features rising stars in pro sports teaming up with small businesses to take a bite out of blood shortages. Through meet-and-greet events filled with autographs and local grub, athletes Olivia Moultrie, Cal Raleigh, and Tariq Woolen showed how even small acts of giving can fuel a stronger, healthier community.

KICKING THINGS OFF:
Portland Thorns FC’s Olivia Moultrie meets fans at Blue Star Donuts before heading to The Sports Bra — the nation’s first sports bar dedicated to women’s sports.

Young Athletes. Big Impact.

NEXT AT THE PLATE:
Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh catches local flavor at Marination in Columbia City — signing autographs, and inspiring fans to step up and donate life-saving blood.

BLANKET COVERAGE:
Seahawks corner Tariq Woolen brings his signature speed to Top Pot Renton — signing autographs and encouraging fans to roll up their sleeves and give blood.

Scaring Up Donations: Bloodworks at the Georgetown Morgue Haunted House

Bloodworks Northwest rolled their mobile blood drive right up to the Georgetown Morgue Haunted House — offering donors a life-saving opportunity and the chance to skip the haunted house’s infamous hours-long line. We captured the spirit (and the screams) through a fast-paced event video, supported by social-ready breakout clips designed to fuel Halloween buzz.

Creative partnerships like this are one of the many reasons we love working with Bloodworks — they’ll go wherever the community needs them, bringing urgency, heart, and a little extra fun to the mission of saving lives.

Giving blood never looked so spooky.

Social-Ready Breakouts: Built for Every Screen

Vertical videos crafted for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and beyond

In addition to the full Georgetown Morgue blood drive event recap, we created vertical breakout videos optimized for social media. Producing breakout clips like these is something we recommend on most projects — it extends the life and reach of the content, making it easy to grab attention on Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more.

By building breakout content into the original production plan, we help our clients maximize impact across platforms without needing a whole separate shoot.
